The gallery is pleased to present selected works by sculptor Michael Rizza opening October 1 — concurrent with our new fall show, "Focal Points".

Michael has been sculpting for the better part of 60 plus years, creating some 500 works in the process.

His materials encompass nearly everything used in sculpture: 10 different kinds of stone, bronze, aluminum, plaster, as well as composites from all over the world.

There are times when Michael gets a block of stone that the block suggests a form, but If not, as he says, "It's my job to take that piece of stone, which doesn't have any character, and make it alive".
