On June 15, Dee Tivenan will become our featured artist with her show titled "Layers of the Heart."

Dee works in a style that is gestural, colorful, and appears non-objective, but often contains a landscape reference.

Her paintings are composed with multiple layers, ensuring a rich texture, and she sometimes combines different mediums.

"Layers of the Heart" is dedicated to Dorothy Gerson, who recently died a few weeks short of her 100th birthday. She was caring, empathic, and devoted her life to helping others. She also was an avid art collector. Many of these paintings are quiet, symbolizing grief and hope.
