COLLEGE PARK STUDENT CERAMICS SHOW

Advanced Ceramics Class

February 11 - March 3

The advanced ceramics class at College Park High School will be exhibiting a sampling of their work at Valley Art Gallery from February 11 to March 3. Instructor Lesley Jensen leads this creative program which includes 145 students this year. Lesley has been teaching at College Park for 19 years. Valley Art Gallery selected this outstanding art program as the recipient of its annual Gloria Marshall Award—a cash donation given each year in support of a public school arts program.

Lesley teaches every imaginable technique in forming and decorating ceramics as well as experimenting with various firing techniques. This year she introduced silk screening on clay. Ms. Jensen is also an instructor in Walnut Creek’s ceramics program, something that some of her former students continue working with long after graduation.

Opening Reception: Saturday, February 11,  3 - 5 pm
