Vickie grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and graduated from San Francisco state school of nursing. Vickie has been passionate about creating art all of her life. However, in her young adulthood as a nurse, and then later, as a stay at home, mom raising her for three boys, she found less and less time for creative endeavors. As her kids grew, she found herself painting with them. Vickie’s love for artistic expression was rekindled.

She began taking ceramics, oil, watercolor, and pastel painting classes whenever she could. Vickie has been painting for 20+ years now in a variety of mediums, specializing in pastel. Her work has many sources of inspiration, especially the beauty in nature, people, and places she sees everyday.

Her paintings reflects what Vickie is most grateful for in life and feels blessed to be able to do what she loves.

Vickie’s other passion is teaching private and small group art lessons, encouraging both adults and children to be creative artists.
