My paintings are based on my life experiences with a focus on nature and people.

Part of the creative process is to select images from my personal photographs that have a lasting impression on me; whether it’s the quality of light, interesting composition, shapes and colors, or an image which tells a story.

Over the years, my artistic approach has evolved from representational work to a more expressive, abstract style. This varied body of work explores the power of color, form, and gestural brushstrokes to evoke emotion.

I am a member of the Bay Area Studio Artists, Vice President of exhibitions of Lamorinda Arts Alliance and have exhibited in several group and solo shows throughout the East Bay.
