My art is about nature and people. It's based on events and places I've experienced.

The first step in my creative process is to select a photograph I've taken that has made a lasting impression on me; whether it’s because of the quality of light, the interesting shapes, the colors, a strong composition, or it tells a story.

I'm Influenced by Impressionism and the Bay Area Figurative Movement, and consider my work primarily representational, yet at times more abstract.

For the past ten years, I've studied art at the Marcy Wheeler Studio. I'm a member of the Bay Area Studio Artists and the Lamorinda Arts Alliance, and have exhibited in several group and solo shows throughout the East Bay.
