As a child, Nancy developed a love for drawing and painting. Drawn to landscapes and the beauty of the outdoors, she draws inspiration from her travels throughout the Western United States; the Diablo Range, the Sierra, Sutter Buttes, and the Northern California coastline. Her special love is painting the central Sacramento Valley and its many moods.
In painting landscapes she utilizes a wet-in-wet technique with mainly half inch and larger brushes, which allows for a fluid look.
Nancy is a long time signature member of the California Watercolor Association (CWA). She has exhibited in CWA national juried shows as well as many local shows in the Bay Area.
She has studied under several internationally known artists, including: Jade Fon Woo, Charlotte Patton, Marie MacDonnell Roberts, and Marianne Brown.
In her spare time, she enjoys her garden, continually changing the look of the landscape with new varieties of flowers, bushes and trees. Nancy and her husband Bill have four grown children, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
