Linda was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended Pomona College in Claremont, California where she received her B.A. in Fine Art. She is a member of the California Society of Printmakers and the Los Angeles Printmaking Society.
She currently shows her work at Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek and Andrea Schwartz Gallery in San Francisco. Several of her prints were recently purchased by Kaiser Permanente and can be seen in the new facility in San Ramon.
Linda’s monotypes reflect her Japanese-American identity. She uses water-soluble printmaking ink which is applied with a roller over a thin line drawing of oil on a sheet of plexi-glass. Paper is placed over the ink and run through a press. The result is a print with repeating positive and negative images. Each finished monotype is a unique piece of art.
