Kathleen’s recent works are observational, painted in oil or gouache, premier coup en plein air and larger studio paintings. She paints to immerse herself in the world and to quiet her mind. There is a time during painting without thinking, when light, color, and the brush take over.

Kathleen holds a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and an MFA from the California College of Art. She maintains a studio in Berkeley.
