I like to share how I see with the world around me, and the best way I have found is with watercolor.
Finding what to paint is the first half of the equation — my camera and I travel everywhere together. Revealing those images on paper with watercolor paint is the second half — from unusual angles, close ups, or visions created in my mind.
I also enjoy using a simple grid and window template to put these shapes down on paper, allowing me to paint directly without drawing the image first. The format adds wonderful texture to the finished painting.
Thankfully, this visual journey never ending. The painting ideas will never be exhausted — there are more images to photo and more pictures to paint just around the corner (of my mind).
