Heidi Schmidt is a California East Bay native currently working out of her studio in Lafayette.

A graduate of the California College of Arts and Crafts (BFA in Design and Fine Art), she has spent more than two decades as a visual designer and illustrator for clients like Scholastic, FedEx, Citibank, and the Girl Scouts of America.

Recognized for her fine art, Schmidt's work has been exhibited at the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek, earning honors such as the Lesher Foundation Award (Walnut Creek Turns 100) and the Best of Show award (Local Voice: Defining Community Through Art).

Working across acrylics, gouache, and watercolor, I describe my work as simple, organic, and rooted in the beauty of nature.
