Danguole Rita Kuolas
Lithuania, the country of my heritage, has a strong tradition of printmaking. From an early age I have been fascinated by the art created there.
I carved my first linoleum block at the age of 12, and have continued to do so, seeking to approach the medium in unexpected ways. Etchingsand wood block prints are also in my portfolio of printmaking techniques.
After receiving a BFA degree in Printmaking, I have worked at various printmaking facilities before establishing my own studio.
I am a member of the California Society of Printmakers, The Boston Printmakers and the Los Angeles Printmaking Society. I participate in juried and curated exhibitions both locally and in Lithuania.
