Shirley Nootbaar has been painting the ridges, roads and ranches of the East Bay for 50 years. Many of the scenes have changed and evolved from quiet rural landscapes to busy urban developments.

There is still subject matter left in our area that reflects the genre of the past and we are fortunate to have much natural open space saved.

Mount Diablo's stunning dominance is a part of surrounding views and offers an outstanding image for artists.
