The focus of this show is the artist's view and interpretation of the beauty of Mount Diablo and the vibrancy of the communities surrounding it. Subjects can range from impressions of the iconic mountain and its foothills to street scenes and public spaces in neighboring towns. It is a diverse area, one that includes a sleepy delta shoreline, rural orchards and scenic backroads as well as major freeways and bustling downtown districts. The long shadow of Devil Mountain offers a wealth of choices for artistic inspiration.
Only two-dimensional mediums will be accepted: painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, collage, mixed media. Original recent work only. No reproductions.
