My work is in an impressionistic style with emphasis on color. I enjoy exploring the unique qualities of water media in landscapes, florals, abstracts and experimental paintings.
Experimental work is very liberating which allows anything in textures, shapes, line and color combinations. Each painting surface is a challenge and sometimes magic happens.
After working many years as an Interior Designer in the Bay Area and Washington DC, having graduated from UCLA with a degree in Applied Arts, I pursued painting as a hobby. I began watercolor one summer at the University of Hawaii and since then have attended workshops with nationally known artists. My work has been accepted and has won awards in juried shows in various states. I met my husband in Europe and we raised our family in Montana, then retired to Port Townsend, Washington and I happily returned to California about ten years ago.
