E. Jeanne Kapp
Working primarily on location in “plein-air” tradition, Jeanne strives to capture the essence of mood inherent in each subject, by carefully selecting its essential elements to create strong emotional impact in a colorful impressionistic style. “I hope to create an awareness and reminder of the beauty that surrounds us, to preserve images that are often mere fleeting moments."
Jeanne studied art at Los Angeles Valley College and University of Utah, in addition to Individual studies with Frank Ericson, teacher of plein-air impressionism, Joseph Raphael, modern school. Since 1978, Jeanne has participated in many juried group shows and one-woman exhibits, where her work has won numerous awards.
Jeanne has enjoyed successful careers in graphic arts, and as an interior designer with W & J Sloane in Beverly Hills. She is also an award winning freelance photographer and has been listed in Who’s Who in American Art since 1999.
